If Tarte Tropézienne stands for the name of the famous cream cake it is also stands for the name of a true bakery. The bread has been made for a long time by hand and in mechanical kneaders. Today it is also prepared and baked right in front of the customers, as it is the case in Cogolin, the head office, in Hyeres or in Saint Tropez, Boulevard Louis Blanc.
"If we make the famous Tarte Tropézienne, that has been imitated but never equalised, we are also bakers, artisan bakers" likes to repeat Albert Dufrêne, the owner of the Tarte Tropézienne.
The bread is baked throughout the day, at very precise schedules and it is displayed in the shop following these schedules so that the bread remains fresh and crunchy much longer!
